For a satisfying painting result, it is important to choose not only the paint but also the tools appropriate for the task. If the painting is to be done with a brush, it is recommended to pay attention to the following points:
• The composition of the paint should be taken into account;
• The brush size should be selected according to the surface to be painted;
• The type of brush should be determined by the application area;
Water-based paints should be applied with synthetic bristle brushes. Synthetic bristles do not absorb water, ensuring the paint flows smoothly on the brush. They do not leave brush marks on the surface. Compared to natural bristle brushes, they are more durable and easier to clean. Solvent-based paints (thinned with turpentine) can be applied with both synthetic and natural bristle brushes. If you want a matte finish with solvent-based paint, it is advisable to choose a natural bristle brush.
Brush sizes should be appropriate for the area to be painted. For painting flat, wide surfaces such as doors and kitchen cabinets, brushes larger than 7 cm are ideal. For skirting boards, windows, door frames, and various objects, small brushes ranging from 1.5 - 3 cm are recommended. Round brushes will help you paint narrow sections easily. For precise and comfortable painting of cut-in areas, a brush with one side longer than the other should be chosen.
